WFH Challenges: Use the Predictive Index to Improve Remote Management

The transition to working from home for those used to working in an office can cause major disruptions to productivity, but no person has the same challenges; they vary by personality and work style. For a manager, using behavioral assessment tools like the Predictive Index can help explain and address these challenges, one teammate at a time, to mitigate these disruptions before they become major issues. In this post, we’ll walk you through how to keep unique personalities in mind while managing a team experiencing disruptions in the work-from-home age.
We’ll break down personality-based strategies along four categories: Dominance, Extraversion, Patience, and Formality. Let’s dive in.


 


Many of the best managers I know already cater their management techniques to each person on their team. The Predictive Index is a great resource for helping managers understand what each personality type needs in general. In this time of WFH, homeschooling for working parents, and general upheaval, it’s more important than ever to communicate effectively and help your teammates feel comfortable with their role and expectations.
