The Fitbit ROI (Return On Intensity) Challenge begins!

Two offices. 40(ish) employees. One Fitbit Ultra per person. Eight weeks. Millions of steps and thousands of miles to be counted. One cool prize and many, many bragging rights on the line.
It’s the Fitbit ROI (Return On Intensity – get it?) Challenge, a brainchild of Brittni Hamman, Chicago office coordinator. Every week, we’ll report on team totals of steps taken, miles traveled (on foot, thankyouverymuch – no bicycles or motorized vehicles allowed), and aggregate “active score,” a Fitbit metric that scores your daily activity level. (There are tons of other metrics to track, too…including a very cool sleep tracker.)
Will the young, energetic, urban-living (i.e. walk-to-work) Chicago office carry the day? Will the Bay Area office capitalize on superior weather and hyper-competitiveness? Check back in for weekly winners, success stories, milestones achieved, and general tributes on why Fitbit is producing some of the coolest gadgets going (and is obviously used by the coolest companies, at least if you think morale and health and fitness and community are cool).
