Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Nikki Gombar, Account Manager, out of our San Francisco office! Get to know Nikki below:
Tell us about your team and what you do:
My team is an incredibly talented group of fun individuals who make working at 3Q so enjoyable. I work in paid media with a focus on search and display. I spend a lot of time project-managing my accounts, communicating with clients, and working with all the members of my team either on coaching and training or learning and growing. We’re quite the squad.
What is one marketing lesson you wish you had learned earlier?
Every client and business is unique in its own way. Even though there is so much knowledge on the do’s and don’ts/ what works and what doesn’t for each vertical, challenge your ideas and test a different approach. Never stop learning.
When coworkers come from other offices to visit, what is one thing they absolutely have to do in SF?
Bike through Golden Gate Park? Catch a cable car to Ghirardelli Square? Ride a boat to Alcatraz? I would probably say have a drink at Twin Peaks and enjoy the sunset.
Tell us about your morale associate (pet):
I have the sweetest Golden Retriever. She lives at home with my parents in Italy and I miss her dearly. Every time I go back to visit she’s there wagging her tail and nudging me for cuddles. She’s 14 now but still loves life!
What is the most fun perks event you’ve attended?
I have 3 favorite perk events, oops! Go-kart racing, paint night, and the zoo! Growing up I was very into amusement parks, art (mainly drawing), and animals! I reignited my inner child with adrenaline from the racing, channeled my creative hand through painting, and had a lovely time being an animal paparazzi at the zoo.
What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?
Explore California! I have biked around Monterey and Carmel, ridden horses in Mendocino, and gone snowboarding at Lake Tahoe!
Have you participated in 3Q3%? If so, what’s been your favorite experience?
Last year we volunteered at the SF Marin Food Bank and helped support their mission to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin by prepping meals for neighborhoods in need.
What’s your favorite GIF?
