Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Casey Tsen, Associate Art Director, out of our San Francisco office! Get to know Casey below:

Explain your role at 3Q in 3 sentences or fewer:

As part of 3Q’s creative team, I help design and produce digital creative assets — such as social and display banners, landing pages, and animated and video ads — for the agency’s clients.

If you were given an unlimited amount of money to invest into one upcoming or exciting marketing technology, what would it be?

I would go with tech that utilizes machine learning, such as voice assistants — partly because of how much potential there is, but also because of how prolific these pieces of technology have become.

Tell us about your morale associate (pet):

Boba, my dog, is most likely to be found napping, but when she’s excited, she bounces around like a goat. Toothless, my cat, also spends most of her day sleeping, interspersed with random yelling and slapping water out of her bowl. They’re both super lazy couch potatoes, which makes for great WFH buddies!

What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?

Adopting Boba! She’s a rescue dog from Taiwan, so my boyfriend and I took the day off to pick her up from SFO and to get her acclimated to her new home. Waiting with other excited adopters for the dogs to arrive and seeing Boba in person for the first time was such a special experience.

If you could choose any TV show or movie world to live in, what would it be?

The Office! I think I’d be endlessly entertained.

What sets 3Q apart from other agencies in the industry?

The culture! I’m so grateful to be part of a company that truly cares about employees’ wellbeing and work-life balance.

How do you spend your free time?

In my spare time, I enjoy baking, photography, hiking, and napping with my pets. I’m also guilty of flipping through Netflix for way too long, giving up, and going back to shows I’ve already watched multiple times.

What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?

This has been going on for a while now, but the constant increase and evolution of custom illustration has been a very welcome change. There’s still a place for stock imagery and footage, but custom illustration can often open up a brand to explore new ways of getting their name and message out there.
