3Q3% – September Outings

Periodically, 3Q offices are encouraged to take a half-day and volunteer to help serve the communities we live in. In September, 3Qers got outside to clean up their communities and neighborhoods!
Cleaned invasive vines off of trees in a lot of greenspace newly acquired by Parks and Rec. This lot will be a park for the public in the future.
An array of 3Qers gathered after work to do our part caring for our beautiful local bay. A local volunteer cleanup company lent us buckets and trash-grabbers for free so we could remove a depressing amount of cigarette butts, plastics, and miscellaneous items from the sand, brush, and water. We had a blast chatting, playing games, and enjoying the scenery; we even got many “thank you”s from strangers!
This month, we gathered E-waste items to properly dispose of them instead of it going straight to landfills. We also took a walk around our neighborhood and picked up trash along the way.
If you live in one of our communities and have suggestions for organizations we can support, please leave a comment!
