3Q3% – May Outings

Periodically, 3Q offices are encouraged to take a half-day and volunteer to help serve the communities we live in. Here are some of the initiatives the offices found in May!
The Austin office’s 3Q3% initiative was deliveries for Meals on Wheels. They serve low-income and homebound families in central Texas. This is an incredibly needed resource for the community they serve.

The Chicago office broke into two groups to help out at New Moms, an organization that provides a number of services and housing for mothers experiencing poverty.

One group helped tidy up the facility located in the Austin neighborhood on the West side. Spring cleaning to the max!

The second group served at Bright Endeavors, a company that employs young mothers making candles and diffusers, as well as body products. They had the chance to work on the line, assembling diffuser kits for CB2 and labeling sugar scrubs.
3Q Denver helped organize items at A Precious Child. They collect clothing, school supplies, hygiene products, household goods, etc., for families in need.

The Raleigh office visited our local Boys & Girls club. We spent a few hours organizing their library and then played basketball and four square with the kids.

San Diego
The San Diego team built birthday party supply kits for disadvantaged youth in our area filled with everything from games and toys, to cake mixes and frostings. Knowing we’d help make a child’s birthday as special as it should be, we especially enjoyed writing cards filled with encouraging words for each child.

San Francisco

Our SF team helped out at Visitacion Valley Middle School’s end-of-the-year talent show. The first shift helped with decorating the stage and making signage for Vischella. The second shift stayed during the talent show and cheered on all the performers! They had such a blast singing and dancing along with them!
San Mateo

San Mateo was able to volunteer with The Samaritan House, which provides free healthcare to families in need. Not only did they help to clean the facility, they were able to use their computer skills to help the facility stay organized!
New York

The NY office participated in The Birthday Giving Project, making over 15 birthday bags complete with cake mix, icing, birthday candles, decorations, toys, and handmade birthday cards for kids who might not be able to afford to celebrate their birthdays. They then donated the bags to the West End Residences, located right here in Manhattan.
If you live in one of our communities and have suggestions for organizations we can support, please leave a comment!
